Agilient developed a security management plan and a suite of aged care security policies, including access control and CCTV policies, for a disability and aged care services provider, giving it a consistent framework that can grow with the business.
THE CHALLENGE
A provider of disability and aged care services needed a consistent, documented approach to protecting its people, information and assets. As the business grew, its security arrangements needed to be governed by clear standards rather than local practice, and the provider wanted assurance that its use of CCTV met legal and operational expectations. It needed a framework that set out how security risk would be managed, how staff would be consulted and how arrangements would be monitored, and that could adapt as new services and sites were added.
OUR APPROACH
Agilient developed a set of security governance documents tailored to the provider’s operations. At the top sat a Security Management Plan, an overarching framework describing risk management strategies, consultation processes, documentation standards and regular monitoring practices for personal and property security, designed to adapt to future growth. Beneath it, a Security Policy defined the standards for protective security measures that safeguard the provider’s people, information and assets while maintaining operational efficiency. An Access Control Policy set out guidelines for managing access within the provider’s facilities. A CCTV Policy and Manual established the legal and operational standards for managing CCTV systems, supporting safety, crime prevention and incident response.
THE OUTCOME
The provider gained a consistent, documented security framework it can apply across its services as it grows.
