Scott Bryant is a Lead Security Consultant and Trainer based in Brisbane, bringing more than 20 years of experience across the Australian Army, policing, and private security sectors. He is a Member of the Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL).
Scott joined the Australian Army in 1998, where he forged a distinguished career in the infantry and was selected for specialist Close Personal Protection training. Reaching the rank of Sergeant, Scott led teams in some of the world’s most hostile environments, serving in East Timor (twice), Iraq (twice), and Afghanistan alongside Australian Special Forces.
His protection portfolio is exceptional. Scott has provided personal security to the Australian Prime Minister, the Foreign Affairs Minister, the Chief of the Australian Defence Force, the Chief of the Army, Ambassadors, the East Timorese Prime Minister, DFAT staff, and Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals, both domestically and internationally. He has conducted counterespionage and risk assessments in sensitive corporate and non-urban environments.
In the private sector, Scott has worked extensively with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, and a who’s-who of global media and business interests, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, News Corp, Rio Tinto, Santos, BHP Billiton, and Fox. He served as Venue Security and Operations Manager at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Scott’s training credentials include Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM), threat assessments, critical infrastructure protection, and investigative surveillance.
